La Val di Fassa è sinonimo di Dolomiti: dalla regina del Gruppo, la Marmolada, al Catinaccio
(Rosengarten per i germanici) eletto dalle leggende a dimora di Re Laurino, al Sassolungo, per
citare i massicci più importanti. Vette magiche raccontate da mille leggende, montagne abitate
dai Ladini, il fiero popolo da duemila anni padrone delle Dolomiti, oggi minoranza etnica tutelata
nella propria lingua, cultura e tradizioni.
Das Fassatal ist sozusagen ein Synonym für Dolomiten: von der Königin der Gruppe, der
Marmolada bis zum sagenumwobenen Rosengarten, an dem laut Legende König Laurin lebte,
bis hin zum Langkofel, um einen der wichtigsten Berge zu nennen. Magische Bergspitzen
erzählen zahlreiche Legenden. Von den Ladinern bewohnte Berge, jenem Volk, das seit
zweitausend Jahren die Dolomiten "beherrscht". Heute eine ethnische Minderheit, geschützt in
Sprache, Kultur und Tradition.
Indeed, the Fassa Valley can be seen as the synonym of Dolomites: from the Queen of the
Dolomites, the “Marmolada”, to the “Catinaccio” (Rosengarten for German people) and known
in the legends as the abode of King Laurino, to the “Sassolungo”, just to cite the most important
massives. Magic pinnacles, protagonists of thousands of legends, magic mountains where the
Ladin people live: this proud population, living here since 2000 years, is now an ethnic minority
protected in its language, culture and traditions.
